The RAY Fellowship Program is a paid fellowship designed to equip recent college graduates with the tools, experiences, support, and community they need to become leaders in the conservation and clean energy sectors—one that, in our visions of the future, fully represents, includes, and is led by the diverse communities, perspectives, and experiences of the United States.
ABOUT ALLSTON BRIGHTON HEALTH COLLABORATIVE
The Allston Brighton Health Collaborative (ABHC) is a neighborhood based public health nonprofit that convenes a network of organizations, advocates, elected officials, and residents. Together we work to improve the systems that impact health and wellbeing in Boston's Allston-Brighton neighborhoods. In addition to organizing convenings and events to strengthen Allston-Brighton’s nonprofit and volunteer network, we also host programs to improve food access, transportation & mobility conditions, and climate resilience in our neighborhood. Examples of our programs include the Brighton Farmers Market, which provides affordable, local food to people facing food insecurity; our Intro-to-Bluebikes group rides, which teach local residents how to use bikes as a form of public transportation; and our clean air project, “Breath Easy,” which mobilizes the neighborhood to collect and study local air quality data.
ABHC centers community members who are most in need, under-resourced, and under-served in its work to address and improve equitable access to transportation, food, community resources, and other public health needs as they arise.
ABHC has a small internal team. We work with joy, generosity and humor. We recognize that the work of activating and uplifting community voices and priorities is emotional, heart based, challenging work. We encourage a four-day workweek schedule and daily flexibility to re-energize and support our mental wellness. We are based remotely but frequently meet in person to connect, create, and strategize together. We gain additional support from our Steering Committee and our fiscal sponsor, the Allston Brighton CDC.
